Holy Guacamole Recipe
2 ripe Avocados
¼ cup Fresh Cilantro
1 Lemon Juice & Zest
½ tsp Cumin
Salt to taste
In a bowl, mash the avocado into a chunky paste. Then, finely chop the tomato, cilantro, jalapeno and scallions and mix them in with the avocado. Add the cumin, lemon zest, and salt, mix and taste, adjusting your seasoning as you go. Once you’ve nailed the seasoning to your liking, add a squeeze of lemon juice and adjust the flavour again. You could also omit the jalapeno if you are looking to make mild guacamole or go crazy, double up on the jalapeno and increase the heat.
If you want your guacamole to stay green and vibrant for a longer time, you can add a tablespoon of sour cream to the mix. I always do and it makes a world of a difference, instantly transforming your guacamole into a HOLY GUACAMOLE moment! We love having this guacamole as part of our go-to summer recipe rotations. Not only does it taste fantastic with nachos, but it also pairs well as a side for grilled chicken or steak.
