Chewy, Fudgy Brownies Recipe

113 g butter, melted

½ cup chocolate chips, melted

¾ cup sugar

2 tbsp oil

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 eggs

⅔ cup flour

1 tsp salt

¼ cup cocoa powder

Melt the butter and chocolate in a bowl and immediately mix it with sugar (This step will help create the crackling crust on top of your finished brownies). Then add the oil, vanilla and eggs, and mix until they are all well incorporated. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, salt and cocoa powder. Slowly add the dry ingredients into the wet and mix until well combined.

Do not fret, the batter will be super thick. Spread it in a lined baking pan and bake for about 25mins at 350F. You want a toothpick to come out of your brownies with little wet crumbs. Allow the brownies to cool fully before cutting into squares and enjoy a slice or two with ice cream! I personally love pairing it with Pralines and Cream Haagen Dazs icecream, some fresh bananas and a good dollop of homemade whipped cream.

For those who don’t know the origin story of this recipe, I was an awkward shy kid in school. I did love baking and soon enough figured out that brownies quickly became a gateway to making friends! You can only imagine how thrilled they were when I finally shared my recipe here with the world.

I hope you enjoy your chewy, fudgy brownies recipe!
